Google Fiber Coming to Georgia

Later this year, Google is bringing super fast internet to the Atlanta area:

Emily Almond, Director of IT at GPLS writes: “Google is considering fiber deployments in 34 more cities. We’re working with ALA OITP, who is talking with Google Fiber folks about how they can (and should engage) with library directors as they begin feasibility conversations with local leaders. They’ve already done some good work with the Kansas City (MO) public library: http://www.kclibrary.org/blog/kc-unbound/how-kc-library-got-google-fiber, and the library is one of the case studies being developed by the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana as part its IMLS grant on Inclusive Gigabit Libraries.”
